Tab is a personal tab and bookmark archive operated by slpixe. Contact slpixe@gmail.com for privacy questions, access revocation or account-data deletion.
Google sign-in provides your basic account identity, including your email address, name and profile image. Tab uses this to sign you in and protect your workspaces. It does not request access to Gmail, Drive or Calendar.
The browser extension reads open-tab titles, URLs and tab-group information to show them on your new-tab page. Saving sends the chosen titles, URLs, collection names and ordering to the service. Tab does not archive page contents. Automatic closing happens after a save is confirmed; the separate Save selected action keeps tabs open.
Favicons are optional cached images. When enabled, Tab automatically inspects a bounded amount of a public bookmark page to find its icon, using anonymous requests without your browser cookies or login credentials. That page HTML is discarded. In Chrome, the extension can copy icons Chrome already knows for visited tabs, including internal development sites, and automatically sync those small images to the saved bookmark's private workspace. Firefox does not copy visited-site icons from the browser; it can still display existing and publicly discovered archive icons. The cloud service does not fetch private-network sites. Other authorized workspace members can see synced icons.
Icon copies are held in private Neon storage and bounded browser and Cloudflare caches. Missing images or exhausted icon budgets show site initials. Unsynced icon uploads remain in their original account's bounded local queue for up to seven days; disconnecting does not move them to another account. Signing out clears the browser image cache.
Cloudflare hosts the website and API. Neon stores the archive and manages authentication. Pending saves are also kept in IndexedDB on your device for recovery, and extension access credentials are stored in that browser profile. Google handles Google sign-in. These services process the information needed to provide their respective functions.
Saved items remain until removed by you or the operator. Removal currently marks records as deleted; automatic retention cleanup is still under development. Contact the operator for permanent deletion. Disconnecting the extension removes its local connection; contact the operator to revoke server-side device access.
Tab does not sell your data, serve advertising or use saved URLs for AI tagging in this release. Only members granted access to a workspace can access its saved archive.
Tab uses information received from Chrome APIs only to provide or improve its tab-saving and archive features, in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It does not use this information for advertising, creditworthiness or lending decisions.
Encrypted archive backups are held on the operator's NAS for recovery, retaining seven validated successful backup generations. Removed archive records may remain in these backups until the generations containing them are replaced. The operator may read your saved browsing data with your permission for support or recovery, or when necessary for security or legal obligations; there is no routine human review. Account-data deletion requests should be sent to the contact above.
